So I took out one of the WOAMs I've been saving, and recovering from elbow surgery is as good an excuse as any to smoke a special cigar right?

I was kind of tredpidatious since I smoked a SHort Story several days ago that kind of disappointed me but I figured what the heck, I need to smoek one of these to see whether I'm going to keep these or trade 'em for something else, and I take it out of the celle and what is this I see? A very thin white bloom clearly visible on the dark wrapper? Why yes! My first cigar with clear evidence of bloom on it!

SO I light it up and at first it's like, mmm, ok, you know on the part where just the very tip is lit.

THen the fat part gets going and it's like dayyum! Again definitely chocolatey hints, as well as a little hazelnut flavor, and a kind of toasty bread flavor.

flavor has stayed pretty consistent throughout, I'm now down past where the band was.

Ash....I had to go upstairs and get my icepack so the stick went out...I had to forcibly break the ash off after about 1 3/4" to re-light. I truly believe this cigar's ash would have gone the distance with no special effort on my part.

Draw...firm...good because you can puff as much as you want and the smoke and nicotine don't over power you...though I did start to feel a bit heady well into it...but that could have been the Percocet.

Burn...man terrific burn....if it gets crooked it evens out. When I re-lit it I just lit one side but this stick took it in stride...no problems. Can leave unattendedfor long periods if you want or huff away.

this goes in my top 3 cigar experiences ever...now where do i get more of these babies?

Hey Lumby,

I smoked one of those last week and thought it was pretty good. The wrapper was nice and TASTY, I couldn't tell much difference between this maduro wrapper and the ones they use on the Anejos.

My problem with these expensive AF's is that for the $$ you have to pay for them, to me it's hard to justify the expense when many Havanas cost less than these premium AF cigars (WOAM, BTL, Opux, Anejo, etc.).

Good job on the review

I wouldn't be surpriosed if the wrapper is the exact same.

Anejo = maduro wrapper (same as Hemis) with Opus X insides
