The other day, I was pulling into a gas station, and I noticed they had a sign saying they had different cigars, well I'll never turn a look see down, so I go in. As I'm standing there with my bottle water in hand, I noticed a few things that made me a little upset.

1. These cigars, they were not to my liking, were not stored properly. I mean, some kid could get one, and be turned off for life. Man, that kills me just thinking about it.

2. Most of them looked real, I've seem them around, I just don't like them. I'm not a macanudo fan. As you can tell, I think I spelled it wrong. ha ha. But I looked, and though I'm not a cohiba man, it hit me. These do not look like real cohibas. So my question is...

What do I do? Is this illegal? Can we put the jerks in jail for selling fakes and improperly storing them? Let me know guys. Should I buy one and take it to a retailer or something? Thanks for your help.

Right, you should buy cigars at the Majestic Liquor Store :p

They have good prices for singles and their Humi Cabinet is well maintained. At least the one next to me is

I went by my "local" cigarshop yesterday (that is 35 kilometers from home). A Cohiba Robusto was ... <drums>... 25 euros! That's about 30 dollars. Can't be fake for that price

The moral of my story, don't buy any cigars at shops here :sign:

Just to clarify, fake DR cohibas or fake ISOM cohibas?

If a shop in the US was selling ISOM cohibas its illegal whether real or fake.

If they were DR cohibas its hard to imagine they would be fake, but I guess its possible.

I get mine there all the time, and I know they are real. You can see the labels through the glass top......

Moki taught me that trick.... :)

Where to begin......

First, your accusations of the said gas station are a little short on information.
1) What criteria are you using to state they are not being stored properly? Did you have a hygrometer with you? How do you know what the temp was? Was this just a guess or do you have some kind of actual proof or knowledge?

2) Your writing skills need some work. Its hard to understand exactly what you're saying in question #2.

Most of them looked real, I've seem them around, I just don't like them. I'm not a macanudo fan.

I have no idea what thats suppose to mean. Most of them looked real..... Most of what? The macanudo's? Since most of them looked real does that mean that only a few of them looked fake? What are you basing that on...the fact that you've seen them around and don't like them? What was the differences between the ones that looked real and the ones that don't?

But I looked, and though I'm not a cohiba man, it hit me. These do not look like real cohibas.

Again, what are you saying? If you're not a Cohiba man what are you basing your assessment on? Do you know what a real Cohiba taste like, smells like, looks like, feels like? We won't get into if you know the difference between a cuban Cohiba or a DR Cohiba which I'm doubting.

I'd think the short answer to your question is NO. You have no proof of your accusation and I'm not conviced you actually know what you're accusing them of. Only those that arm themselves with knowledge are less apt to be taken. Can't give any better advice then to know your source.
