At the 24 hr mark I was at 74% and at 48 hr mark I was at 76%. I know people say to salt test for approx 24 hours, but I am to assume that the 76% is correct and not the 74% right? Thanks

2 percentage points won't make or break anything in your humi. technically it's +/- 1 point deviation.

Throw that thing away and get some of vipers beads... You'll have less stress.

Seriously though - I got beads and don't even pay attention to the hygrometers anymore. Just make sure you have a good mix of clear/white beads and pinch your sticks once in a while.

I agree. I have beads and keep a hygrometer as a precaution. Can never be too safe. I point variation is fine.

It's only off by 1% which is not uncommon and not enough to affect anything.

Viper's beads are the shiz-nit! You'll never have to worry about humidity again. Best part of beads is that they are self-regulating, so you can have too few beads in your humi, but you can NEVER have too many!

I have an old Climmax Premiere that I received years ago that is attached to the lid. It still works great and holds steady. The hygro was new so it had to be tested. It was the clearance wireless model from Radio Shack that was around 17$. Now I never have to lift the lid to check. Technology...gotta love it :)
