After the broken hinge situation I was bumbed so I bought this piece of beautiful Curly Maple for more humidors and I'm going by the B&M for a good cigar on the way home. The good news is we had a great day of sales and biz seems to be on the upswing. (more cigar money. Yea) :thumbs:

When ever you need it I'll be here. Thanks. :thumbs: I can assure you, I'll be packaging even better. I think some soft cloth and plastic wrap before the foam and dacron pillow filler. :thumbs: What's funny is I have an 18ft trailer full of exotic woods and my loft is full too and I can't seem to pass up pieces like this. I must be nuckin futz. :whistling:

You want at least 3 to 4 inches minimum from humi to outer box surface. Better yet, put in a box that you can put at least two ot 3 inches of cushion, then put that box in another box that is 3 inches larger on all sides, than the smaller box.
 
Its on its way back to AZ as we speak. I shipped via UPS, and they packed it into one of their boxes on top of the original box and foam, so i hope it will be ok for another trip. Bill has been great about the whole thing, and im sure it will be better than new when it returns. It was so incredible that i had a hard time packing it up again. LOL. Ill post pics when it returns.
 
Yes sir I have hinges ready and waiting. It might come back with a little suprize for your trouble. I can assure everyone this won't be a problem in the future. They'll be the "Boy in the bubble" from now on. (Even though it was surounded in foam and pillow stuffing the first time) I'll do better. :thumbs: :thumbs:
 
Bill, have you looked into something like this perhaps?

Instapak Foam Packaging

Might work for what you do :) You could pack the humidor nicely with the cloths and such, then throw a few of those Instapaks in and viola!

I'm just trying to contribute, and to help ensure that your future endeavors with your beautiful humidors are safe! I hope that Instapak works well, I have ordered parts for my Shelby a few times and they came in that stuff. It seems very, very solid and tight fitting, and seems to take impacts nicely (my carbon fiber intake tube had a huge gouge in the box, and into the foam, yet the tube itself was untouched). PM sent, and profile updated!
