OK...nfulton was such a great guy to send me a couple of Oneoff cigars...now I can say I hate him. I have to say that it was such a wonderful cigar that I have gone and searched them out to try more of the line (different vitolas). The one I smoked was long and lean (38 x 6.5-ish), dark wrapper and perfect construction and draw. The first puff after ingition was such a fantastic explosion of chocolate and aged tobacco that I said "WOW" out loud, to no one :0 ! The entire cigar was full of great things that I cannot explain without leaping out of my seat like a possessed Tom Cruz! So the next one I fired up (today) was the robusto that I found at a local shop. The same thing happened (although this time I did jump out of my seat)...and this time I handed the other one to a buddy of mine to try. Now I have corrupted another BOTL (less Oneoff for me) because he thought the same thing...we both thought out loud...better than Padron 1964 Maduro??!! ;) I think it is possible...at least in theory...but the hypothesis is only starting to be researched. So I will now hoard all of the Oneoff's I can find and smoke them all and come to a conclussion ASAP. I will keep you all posted.

I have now smoked two. One I fought my way through after buying it at the store. Terrible draw, tough the flavor was wonderful. Review can be found here: http://www.cigarpass.com/forums/index.php?...20188&hl=Oneoff

Then, I took the other I had bought, gave it a few weeks at about 61%, and smoked it at the Mohegan Sun Micro-herf. I ditched it after a little more than half after having the same draw problems.

I am hesitant to try any more after not enjoying two in a row of these (not cheap!) cigars. If I do try another, and the draw is good, AND the flavor is as incredibly wonderful as the first two, I can absolutely see me becomeing a Oneoff whore as well. However, I do not foresee myself buying more any time soon, as I am now just "turned off" to the brand, regardless of all the terrific reviews I read.

Edit: OK, OK, 10 for 40 bucks...worth it to give the brand a chance to save itself in my eyes.

Great looking out Ginseng (just clicked the checkout button) and I am glad you enjoyed fetterjohn! The last Oneoff purchase I made was through Davidoff in NY because they were the only ones carrying the Laguito #2 which I now smoke at least weekly. I absolutely love these cigars. Something is going on down there in Nicaragua. The only problems I have had thus far was poor storage and handling prior to my purchases.

The Allegria are good mild smokes with the natural wrapper... But the Oneoff with the Peace sign band are the ones that I flipped over. Those are the one's that I needed to hunt down. I may just go and by a box today...I'll let you all know if I did and what the damage is.

Thanks for the linky Wilkey,
I'm going to give these bad boys a test run.

Thanks for making that distinction, Fetter. I have not had the Allegria but find the "Peace" line to be just bursting with flavors.

The unfortunate thing is, 2Guys used to carry several of the "Peace" and "Allegria line but now they only show the Anarchy whatever that is.

BTW, you guys might want to think about pooling your orders. Spend $100 and you get a 10-box of the OneOff Anarchy fat perfectos.

I got one of these to try from Fetter and I must say that it was a very interesting cigar. Very spicy with lots of flavor. I will have to try another one to make sure whether I really like it or not. It was different than anything else I have ever tried. I definetly would not say it was better than a PAM though. We'll see what I think after another one or two. It is definetly worth trying for sure.

This was exactly my impression as well. It's a shame there isn't anything else out there like these. When they are on, they perform well.

I did light up the three "Peace" line cigars from the sampler just to check them before I threw them out and they did not test well. Certainly not like I had remembered them. I was not compelled to smoke any significant length.

I think I saw these at my dad's B&M. Will have to give em' a try. Too bad about the beetles.

I too have had very hit and miss results with these babies. As stated above, when they are on, they are damn sure on. They are absolutely excellent and well worth the price. But, other times...damn, they sure do have problems. Makes it such an inconsistent stick, that I've been hestitant to go ahead and pick up a box in one swoop. But, I can say that I've had the hit-miss experience with at least 10-15 of these over the years.

I just tried one of the Anarchy Perfectos by Oneoff. Good burn and draw but I must say that this one had a very interesting flavor as well. But the only thing I could compare it to was an Acid Blondie minus the sweet tip. Ya I smoked a few of them in the past.

These Oneoff cigars have SO MUCH unique flavor that I must wonder if they have any flavor added to them. Does anyone actually know any facts about this cigar and its maker? I, for one, know nothing except what I have tasted on 2 sticks. But these 2 stick have definetly tripped me out. I do think that the peace signs and anarchy signs are fitting though.

Which vitolas have you been smoking atuck? just like all others, there are some I like and others, not so much. So far the Laquito #2 has been my choice. Unlike everyone else, I have had nothing but good luck with these. The Ninfas are the only vitola yet that I could taste that something ?"floral"? I've also had the Robusto, Perfecto, and Julietas, and have enjoyed them all. The Perfecto and Julieta were much earthier than the rest. I have five of the campganas (sp) on their way and I imagine they will be the same.

There was a website, but I cannot find it anymore. I know the fillers and binders are all Cuban seed Nicaraguan tobacco, but the wrappers may be something different. Hopefully, they can get their act together and become another great boutique brand like Tatuaje.

About to fire one up...

Nice sunny Memorial Day, will head to the deck with Thor(the dog).

Got this one in trade, still in single ziplock, no signs of beetles... but the pigtail is damaged and there is that floating around.

Just did a quick google and found this review. Hope it's a good AM cigar :)

Also found the 2Guys special. Would have considered ordering, if I liked this one, but will pass for sure.

Late night edit....

Enjoyed the cigar.. a Lag #2 I believe. Was so enjoyable I started burning the band.

For $4 per stick, I'd smoke 'em up all day... but since that ain't the case... I'll grab one or two if they are reasonably priced in person.

Inside of band said 2000. Guess it really was well aged. Do they change bands each year, or was that when it was introduced?
