Hypothetical Question....

so.... hypothetical question for y'all... :whistling:

say I were to be a good boy, staying home a number of my 4 day stretches off to help the wife this summer (instead of going fishing), and I hosted her 2 brothers and their wives to go fishing, and was taking her to Hawaii for her 50th BD this winter, and have canceled a number of days of doing things here and there due to her health, and... and.... Now, say she said I deserved a 4 day stretch off from helping her, from housework, chauffeur duty, and so on...

Who would want to host a herf for me to visit? Anyone? Buehler? Buehler? I'm trying to figure out what to do with some airline miles that are burning a hole in my account, and pre-planning is a must!;)

Nothing promised, and a few 'blackout dates' are involved, but it is a strong possibility... VERY strong. Padron Outlaw event? (I am craving the beans..) Group get together somewhere (preferably warm...) where a number of BOTL reside? Ideas? thoughts?

converse now....

There's always room for you in CT....but it's CT! :(

We could hit up NY or Boston!?

Come down to Texas and I promise we will have some fun. And a guarantee of great cigars. Hell, you could even bring the fishing gear.

Can the girls come to the "boys trip" too??? That sounds fun if it is close enough!

Melly

Hell, if its to some place warm, I'd love to join you all. I don't care where or who (I need a vacation, and would love to meet some of the brothers).

Brother, I don't have a house to host at, or you guys woudl be welcome here. But......there is McMenamins where you guys could stay, and do daily tours of PDX microbreweries, cigar lounges, and if you so chose, the "beverage with a view" entertainment that PDX is famous for.....:p

Kennedy School has a cigar room, soaking pool, multiple taverns, movie theater, decent rates, and is very nicely located close to the airport and downtown PDX. There are guided bus tours of PDX micro breweries that you could go on and I'd think we could make it a smashing time. You could rent a car and drive to the coast, or the mountains, or wherever. Probably find more than a few of the CP brothers that would visit over a four day stay.

....that, and I'd probably have to take at least a couple of days off to party with you guys. OK.....the motive is revealed.....

Whatever sounds like fun, Jimmy....B.B.S.

Well Jimmy boy, there is always Prescott, AZ. I promise I won't bore you with hours of softball again. We have a stretch of bars called Whiskey Row. Can be loads of fun and trouble. Depends when you come, we can do some bird hunting. You like quail?

Well Jim there is always Napa. However you might have to deal with Phil trying to bug you about meeting up with him and the wife deciding to join in on the trip. Either way you are welcome to stay here.

Um...I think you answered your own question already. Outlaw....Padron.....all the gang.....Jack Stack....

Ok, allow me to elaborate. That was a fast posting as we had just discussed it and I wanted PROOF of the 'kitchen pass' on the board

I'm not looking for someone to put me up in their house, chauffeur me around, entertain me, and so on (altho I am open to the idea!)

I'd love to get together with a number of youz guyz and herf. just herf! I don't wanna run around here, and there, and the there again. I do that now, and I just wanna relax, smoke some cigars, drink some nice booze, and make some new best friends - as well as catch up with old ones too. The location really does not matter (much)

There is no real time frame, other than a few blackout dates... like not around the holidays, and the Hawaii trip of Jan 24th - Feb 10th - I'm sure there will be a few others that come up as well. An organized herf would be awesome, with loads of people... like the Outlaw parties (Padron would be my choice yet again). I will even look at the Quad State times, as that would be a blast. Or, if we could organize our own that would be awesome too.

But one way or another, I'm going SOMEWHERE in the next 6-8 months to smoke and drink my ass off...

Just to let you know we had about 30 of us at Padron last year, and we went to dinner at Jack Stack with Jorge himself. He also handed out 1926 #6 maduros. And if you come we can taunt Souldog all weekend with our phone calls, texts, and pictures since he will back out once again. And there's Brad.

Just sayin :whistling:

Oh I know... been to Outlaw/Padron, met him and had a great time. The calendar girl search was EPIC! To be honest, it's a front runner for sure... Brad, Tony, BBQ... yeah, you can't go wrong.

And sorry, but 2 places I cannot go would be Napa and Vegas... for the simple reason if I went, then she'd have to go too :( (so they are out)

this will be an evolving thread over the next months, bumped for updates as needed. If someone were to get together with other local BOTL's and plan a herf, that would be awesome... at this early time, there is no commitment to anything other than I am going somewhere...

Hmm ... I don't think I'll be having a house past 2010, so it is tough to plan something. Obviously, you are always welcome at my house _anytime_!! Even if I'm not there. But, it would be fun to stage a HERF like the days of old. That being said, I can't honestly plan anything tell after 2011 starts and I have some idea what the hell is going on. LOL! .. But, if you find something sooner; I'll do my damnedest to follow! :whistling:

If relaxing is what you are looking for Mardi Gras is not the place to be. It is fun, but one of those exhausting mad house types of fun.

I would also throw out Dark Lord Day. The event itself can be hairy, although the CPers have it down to where we sit around eating, drinking and smoking for awhile then go get the beer and return to the previously mentioned eating, drinking and smoking.

One of the little known benefits of membership at Cigarpass is the unlimited use of the newly remodeled guest quarters at Casa de Rod in sunny southern California. ( American made transportation is provided. ) Entertainment options include a daily showing of Moochete in the IMAX Purobrat Theater, and a walking tour of the Galeria de Chaps showcasing Rod's personal collection of vintage buckskins.
