Humidor struggling to keep 60%

So, I seasoned my humidor again thinking that was the problem. This time I wiped it down good and left the sponge and a cup of water in it for 3 days. The first couple days it was well over 70%, but it has slowly been declining. I have not found it to be over 60% in the last 4-5 days. I have a 15 count humidor with the included cheap black foam style disk.

Think it's time to go with beads? Also, do they offer a disk style container in which I can fill it with beads? I don't want a lose bag sitting inside the humidor. I'd prefer its on the inside of the lid like my current humidifier.

thanks

You can use the larger one if you like. There is no way to put too many beads in a humidor. The extra beads will give you more moisture storage and help the humidor recover quicker when the lid has been opened. The rh will remain the same no matter how many you use.

Yes Heartfelt does offer a disc shaped humidifier in two sizes in both 65% and 70%. I have links to the 65% versions below.

Thanks.

Any reason to not go with the large version for a small humidor? (other than price).

The more beads you have the better the stabilization of the RH will be (or so I believe from my reading up on the issue.) If you type "Beads" into the search engine you will get more information than you can even read and any questions that you can't find (doubtful, just because there is so much info) Viper is always willing to lend a hand.

Did you season it with some water besides the wipe down?

Does 'WHO' offer it?
If you mean a vendor...give them a pm...or search on here...I'm sure you'll find one!

Guess I am still lost. I wiped it down (with water), left the sponge inside, and added a cup of water.

Exactly how I described it above :)
