Greetings all,
I have recently been brought back to the light, so to speak, and I have decided to purchase my first humidor.
I was spurred into this decision by an anniversary gift from my girlfriend of two years. A few days ago I received a package in the mail (I am on temporary duty and live halfway across the country) of two boxes of cigars and a note explaining that she didn’t know what these were, but the guy at the cigar store recommended them. I was kind of suspicious of what I would find in the boxes. I usually smoke Sancho Panza singles I pick up on special occasions (after sampling to find a favorite) but she didn’t really know that, just that I enjoyed cigars and didn’t smoke Swisher Sweets. The first box was an A. Fuente Reserva Superior Limitada Belicoso. To date I have not been able to find any info on this cigar. The next box was a Padron 1926 Serie No. 6. Makes me ashamed of the $60 bouquet of flowers I sent her. But she makes like 3 times a much as I do, so its ok, right?
Right now the smokes are living in a tupperdor I’ve had since before the Army took me away from my hobby, alongside some Cohibas that I liberated from Communist oppression on a recent vacation.
The point of all of this is that I would like to give these beauties a proper home (that will also give me an excuse to get them some roommates). Does anyone have advice on what size humidor I should get (I currently have around 60 cigars, and have my eye on a couple more boxes of my more regular smokes), and where I can get said humidor on the cheap? I live in Army accommodations so space comes at a premium, I don’t know where I would put a free standing humidor.
Thanks for any advice you can give me!
