What is the better choice of humidification devices - beads, gel, pg & water, etc?

I have a small 50 capacity humidor that isn't maintaining its humidity. I've only been using distilled water and a cheapy humidifier. I've been reading that most of the solutions listed above are a great alternatives to distilled water; for those who don't want to babysit their humidor.

I guess I want to know what others think of these products. Are they worth it? Hazardous to the smoker or the cigars? Potential mold inhibitors?

You'll find most guys swear by beads, once they've tried them.

my gel has never failed me...

come to think of it...neither has search...or my beads

trial and error worked for me

The right tool for the right application. Can't go wrong there.

I have used homemade crystals/beads and PG/water and as long as one knows how to use these tools, they will all work as required.
