I have a 70% tube and my humi is a 100 count with a shelf. Now that it's winter and i fired up my coal stove my humi won't get any higher than 60%. i have soaked the tube in distilled water and put back in humibut still only goes to 60%. Do you think I need to put a tube in the shelf also?

First thing I would check would be to make sure the seal on your humi is sufficient, sounds like some of that hot dry air might be finding a way inside your humi.. keep us posted hopefully we will get this figured out :)

Same thing happens to me when the heat is turned on in my apartment. I have a 54 Qt cooler....

Take a small piece of "antibacterial" sponge and wet it with distilled water. That will help bring up the humidity. Keep the beads in there with the sponge.
