guys,

My brother and sister in law just got back from Hawai'i. They picked me up a cigar somewhere in the islands. I was wondering if any of you knew if this is a decent stick or a real dog rocket. regardless of what it is, I thanked them for the generousity, and put it in the holding cell until I get some feedback.

It's a black plastic tubo, with a white push in cap. The sticker on the tubo says Hula Girl Cigars in big bold font, and 'Kona Coffee Flavor' at the top. There is an 800 number at the bottom of the sticker and a upc bar code too. the address is on Maui.

The stick is 6" X 40, smells like gourmet coffee, is in celo, AND was put in the tubo backwards (foot first).

The Original Hula Girl Cigar - a Royal Corona - smooth mild flavor - Kona Coffee Flavored - Caribbean Tobacco- Honduran and Dominican. This tobacco is flavored by tumbling the tobacco in a drum while spraying the coffee flavoring onto the tobacco. During this process the tobacco is broken in pieces approximately 2 inches square. Machine rolled, cigar is cellophane wrapped and then packaged in a black plastic tube to preserve the coffee flavor.

I tasted one once. (they have them at local stores)
I was thinking they might be ok as a novilty. Couldn't even finish it. Coffee smell is nice but the taste is piss poor.
I would rather have some kona coffee and a good cigar.

Hula Girl Cigars are sold throughout Maui and I assume the Oahu at convenience stores (ABC on the islands) more as a novelty than anything else "Hey what do we get for uncle steve while we're vacationing in the tropical paradise.......... I know let's get a true hawaiian cigar............."

Definately a Woofer IMHO

Kind of what I thought, but just wanted to get some other opinions before I actually made the mistake of lighting it up. It will find it's way into the hands of some mooch at the bar or golf course.

I did give the obligatory thank you and made them feel like I would really somoke it, so it's all good. Thanks for the head's up.
