Tuesday nights around these parts belong to the boys, and yesterday was no exception. I realize how new I am around here, so I had better explain. Tuesdays are when we have our weekly business meetings for the record label, and what that means is lots of coffee and cigars. A few months ago I became obsessed with smoking Cigar Afficionados top 50 cigars, and hung up the poster in my office. So began my journey....
Last nights smoke was from the list. A Hoyo Del Arte...

At first I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find one, but a friend got a couple from a shop we don't normally go to (thanks to the tinderbox gang..eshaw and kyackinboy) and we were in biz!

My first reaction to the stick was a worried one because the wrapper looked old and wrinkley..but my fear was unfounded, because as I lit up the cigar my nose was treated to wonderful smoke. There was nothing sweet about this cigar..no coffee or chocolate tones...it was straight leather and wood. But that was fine, because it tasted great.

The ash burned bright white, and was straight as an arrow. I had smoked half of it before it ashed. Nice. The finish was mellow in a good way, bringing me down nice and smooth. A few last notes, I was drinking coffee at the time of the smoke and it went great with this cigar.

So there you have it. My first review on CP.... I would rate this cigar a great smoke for the money and a 7 out of 10 easily. Hope you all find this review helpful...until next tuesday, this is the newbie signing off!

They are nice smokes. I'd recommend them! Thanks for the review!
