So on the way to work I picked up a few cigars. I have wanted to try the Hoyo De Monterrey Excalibur 1066 Lancelot for a time just because a lot of people I fish and hunt with tell me how much they love it. So I had to give it a go.

Burn was good nice and even. The ash is grey with black specks and held on well. Draw was very good I have heard rumor of them being hard to draw. But this one for the pre light draw was easy almost seemed too easy but the cigar was firm and color was a nice leather color with a few small veins.

Taste wise this was a very nutty woodsy cigar to me. It was really not complex at all just nutty. It never got bitter. The flavor stayed the same and really never gave change. But it did get a little hot once it got to the band but not enough to make me put it down.

Overall I don’t think I will buy another one sure it was a good smoke for the price but I think I will pass on the purchase next time. But hey if you like a nutty cigar go for it. Ohh and 3 hours later I still have a taste in my mouth like I just ate a handful of fresh walnuts! rp
