Specs:
49 x 7.5

Yesterday was a busy day. Ended up installing 3 new plasmas and lcd televisions in my place, along new receivers, Blu-Ray, and Surround Sound equip. My favorite part about it (in the end anyway), was that I put up a 32" HD/HDMI LCD outside, on my rear balcony, for those times when I feel like fleeing the confines of my smoking room and lighting up outdoors. After all was said and done, ended up having some dinner, then went back out to the rear balcony to enjoy the evening and light up this beauty, accompanied by a few fingers of Black Bush.
This baby has a few years of age on it. Approximately 5 to be precise. Had some gorgeous bloom on it as well, so I was looking forward to lighting up this baby. Just holding it, damn, it almost feels a shame to torch it. It's beautiful. Deep, rich cocoa and leather tones to it, very nice and oily, and a scent of pure, clean tobacco. Punch, toast, light...draw is flawless. Very smooth. First tastes were of a hint of spice, wood, leather, cocoa and damn good tobacco. Far more complex than I recall on the times when I've smoked these sticks younger. The aging has treated this well.
I recline on my sofa outside, sipping the Black Bush, and as night was falling over Miami and Miami Beach, a storm started to roll in from the west. A few flickers of lightning turned into a real downpour, with continued lightning and thunder, and with even a few water spouts spotted on radar, though I didn't see any. The lightning however did look brilliant as it lit up Biscayne Bay through the storm clouds laying low upon it. From my balcony, I was practically above it all, though some higher rain/thunder clouds rolled in as well. Nevertheless, I was dry and comfortable on my balcony due to the penthouse overhang design, and didn't get a spot of water on me or the newly installed telly (it's mounted high on the wall anyway, with a swivel bracket that permits you to turn/position it in just about any direction). It was, gents, awesome. Have a fully stocked refrigerator, gas grill, sofa and multiple chairs and tables on the rear balcony, so I rarely have to venture inside. Lol. But, it is South Florida, so when it gets hot as hell during the day, I am thankful for the indoor smoking room. At night however, that's a whole different story.
Continue smoking this baby and it stays about the same...the complexity never falters or lets up, never develops further either mind you, but it's perfect as is. Smoke it to the nub, and, about the time that House was ending was feeling a nice buzz from a combination of the stick, the drink, and just general tired-ness. Let the nub die in the ashtray, power off, and head inside and crash.
An absolutely excellent stick, just as they have always been. I've never had a bad one of these babies. Quite solidly in the medium-bodied range, so if you're a die-hard full body only type of smoker, you might not care for it. While I predominantly go for fuller bodied sticks, this one was a nice change of pace as it were, but not so lesser-bodied that I was disappointed. A truly beautiful evening (I do love thunder/lightning storms), accompanied by a great stick, drink and comfort.
