How Observant Are You?

There are 29 questions about things we see every day or have known about all
our lives. How many can you get right? Put your thinking caps on.

No cheating! No looking around! No using anything on or in your desk or
computer! And no looking at the answers at the end, until you finish the questions!

Can you beat 18?? The average is 7 (I found that hard to believe!). Write
down your answers and check answers (here) AFTER completing all the questions.
Here goes:

1. On a standard traffic light, is the green on the top or bottom?
2. How many states are there? (Don't laugh, some people don't know)
3. In which hand is the Statue of Liberty's torch?
4. What six colors are on the classic Campbell's soup label?
5. What two letters don't appear on the telephone dial? (No cheating!)
6. What two numbers on the telephone dial don't have letters by them?
7. When you walk does your left arm swing with your right or left leg?
8. How many matches are in a standard pack?
9. On the United States flag, is the top stripe red or white?
10. What is the lowest number on the FM dial?
11. Which way does water go down the drain, counter or clockwise?
12. Which way does a "no smoking" sign's slash run?
13. How many channels on a VHF TV dial?
14. Which side of a women's blouse are the buttons on?
15. On a NY license plate, is New York on the top or bottom?
16. Which way do fans rotate?
17. Whose face is on a dime?
18. How many sides does a stop sign have?
19. Do books have even-numbered pages on the right or left side?
20. How many lug nuts are on a standard car wheel?
21. How many sides are there on a standard pencil?
22. Sleepy, Happy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey, Doc. Who's missing?
23. How many hot dog buns are in a standard package?
24. On which playing card is the card maker's trademark?
25. On which side of a Venetian blind is the cord that adjusts the opening between the slats?
26. On the back of a $1 bill, what is in the center?
27. There are 12 buttons on a touch tone phone. What 2 symbols bear no digits?
28. How many curves are there in the standard paper clip?
29. Does a merry-go-round turn counter or clockwise?

I missed 9 total. Not bad, I think, now I just have to stop my brain from hurting so much. :p

Glad you liked it Sam. Prepare for more tomorrow. I've got nothing but time on my hands here. Have been sidelined from doing house-fix-up-work by our first Softball game of the season. Someone forgot to tell me this is NOT a sacrifice your body league. :0

Sorry Sam. . . .

My family will tell you that I NEVER forget when you mess up. (Yeah, I'm one of those.)

Maybe in about 20 years, I'll give it a rest. . . :D :D

*chuckles* actually you would fit in around here too bud - we never let things be forgotten.

An example - and one of my favorite on-going things. Melly last year had a 16 Candles sorta birthday - everyone forgot her birthday until late that night (yes I am sorry to say including me).

Since then, Melly has had about 20-25 birthdays - even since her last birthday (which trust me NO ONE forgot about). What we do is this...

Whenever the large portion of our friends are around and we're out to eat (yes folks, we eat out a lot with our friends) someone - still don't know who ;) ;) will tell the hostess that it is Melly's birthday. Then of course the wait staff and us sing her happy borthday. Now this is real torture for Melly - first for putting her in the spot light but also since her surgery she rarely can do more than a bite or two of a dessert *evil grin* (oh yeah, we're not kind LOL).

Last weekend, she tried to beat us all to the punch and have it be someone else's birthday (who it really was) but when the wait staff came out they sang happy birthday to her instead - including the birthday boy ROFLMAO :sign: :sign:

Ok, maybe it is one of those things you "have" to be there for. Bottom line is though it pokes fun at her, it really is a make-up thing from all of us and of course every time we bring up on who forgot it was Melly's birthday. Gets kinda fun pointing fingers at each other and of course the on-going investigation of WHO is the real culprit of the fake birthday's - which btw is NOT me ;)

Sam

Well, when I come through Alabama, I will have to bring something for Melly's "Birthday". . . LOL

:D :D :D :D :D

does that mean leebo gets the nomination for
gov. of california and not me? :(
my dreams! my dreams all shattered!!
