How can I make my humi more airtight?

So, unfortunatelly I suspect my humi to be not airtight enough.

About 2 weeks ago I had steady about 60%-61% Rh and decided to seal it again.
I've put my cigars into plastic box (65%Rh steady as a rock) and 3 cups with distilled water into my humi.
After 1 week I had 85% Rh in it so thouht it should be ok.
Cigars went back into their house, and after few days of steady 68%-70% the Rh became to get low...
Yesterday I had 65% so I thoght that everything works fine, but today I saw 64% and I'm pretty sure that tomorrow I'll have 63%...

What to do!?

Should I seal it again and again? Every 2-3 weeks?
Or should I put a small cup with distilled water inside?
Or maybe there is some way to make it 100% airtight?

???

EDIT: The "buy a coolidor and put your humi there" answers will not be accepted! :p

Do a search under Bill Clinton your answers lie there!

Yeah, Michal, I think we covered every conceivable angle in the Bill Clinton thread.

OMG! that guy is a freak! I've read 10 pages and have enough of it. :0

And aobut the advices.
I've read about some kind beewax, but I think I'll try small thin layer of silicon used to airtight wooden windows. I'll put it on a humi top and a lid and see what will happend...

Make sure you give the silicone enough time to air out. You don't want you smokes to taste like it...

Your cigars won't smell like silicone. Silicone is pretty much odorless. If you don't let it air out sufficiently, they'll smell like acetic acid (vinegar) which is a reaction byproduct. :D

Thanks, I'll remember that. :)
And I think I will try some other solutions before this stinky silicon :p

Also you could wrap your humi in saran wrap
Whats that? ???
My dictionary dont have a 'saran' word.

I was joking about the saran wrap...

OT: WOW! ambient electronica and cigars, now thats a combo I did not expect to see on this board. Back on topic. If I have learned one thing here, buy the viper beads, keep 70% of them clear with the distilled water and forget about it.

Interspace, I have beads in Puck, so it works like it should ;)

Ps. Looks like my humi Rh is ok now. I've talked with few person here in Poland, and in winter everyone has the same problem because of very dry air. The way they usually do it is puting a small glass of water for 12-24 hours once for a few days/weeks. I did the same, and its ok now.

Ps_2. I also took all my cigars from cello (about 60%-70% of all my sticks) and think it also did help.
