Houston Area Herf

There definitely should be a pre-post Cigar Fest get together!

I need to make one final check to confirm I no longer have any familial commitments that weekend, but I think everything is now completely unkinked... which means I need to call Audi sometime soon and reserve his couch to crash on :laugh:

I'm debating taking a half day off and driving in early that Friday. Celebrate Friday the 13th properly!
 
We could do lunch/herf in Rice Village. Gingerman is cool about bringing in outside food. There is a Turkish place close by that I like. Not saying it is authentic or fantastic, but it is solid and reasonably priced. Let me know what we decide to do.
 
What time do you guys want to meet on Saturday Apr. 14? More specifically, Joe when are you planning on hitting town?

Damnit, Joe. I have to work on the 14th all day at "Scout Fair." It'd be great to smoke with you again, but I think I have to miss this one.
 
My plan is to get into Houston at 3:30ish on Friday, I've got a few tentative things on my list of stuff(hit Serious Cigars before it gets cleaned out, maybe hit the Spec's "main" location) to do Fri-Sat, but lunch Sat would rock. Beer is good...

Works out perfectly. Some of us have to be up on the North end of town around 6-6:30 anyway.
 
There is also and Indian place and a Japanese Place across the street. Black Walnut and D'amicos are also in walking distance.

ETA: I forgot Lil' Woodrows which is right next door. Maybe Coreanos will be open somewhere in the general area before this starts.

Based upon discussions tonight, it looks like we will be meeting at the Gingerman around 1. From there we have a number of eateries within walking distance and beer on tap.

Some of us will be heading to the Fest and there is a good chance we'll end up at downing or something of the likes.

Any objections?
 
I object to you going to the Fest. Just hand over your ticket at the Gingerman at 1. :thumbs:
 
Okay who do I need to take out. Is it joe?? Haha I'll be sure to get one next year. Didn't know it was such a big thing.
