SO I took a chance to walk around my neighborhood with my beautiful girlfriend in the twilight and take advantage of the mild weather we've been having.

This cigar of course is a classic, highly unlikely to disappoint.

Not much else to say except for I tasted hints of Dr. Pepper, pine, and chocolate as I smoked it, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

However I noticed this:

I also found out what causes the "spicy" flavor in cigars, for which Opi are noted (especially by Moki), It's this tar. When my tongue accidentally touched this tar, it was really spicy. Luckily it wasn't to unpleasant.

Anyway there it is.

Next time take a picture of your girlfriend instead... or even a photo of the local architecture... as your closeup of the tar womb on that Opi is gross... ;)

Seriously, what do you do to cigars to make them bleed bile like this - isn't this the 3rd or 4th time this has happened? I have never seen this... Anyone else encounter Opi blood-drool when they smoke, or is this a Lumberg-specific syndrome?

I smoke alot of Opus X cigars and have never seen this happen to anyone of them.

I've had it happen twice that badly that I remember but neither was an Opus.

I was taking a break from a seminar once upon a time, and smoked a Diamond Crown #7-Maduro. That was the first time I've noticed it... I could have written the 200 page manual we were using for the seminar with the amount of tar that was dripping from that cigar.

I often re-clip a cigar after smoking the 1/2 half... cuts the tar build up.

I've had that happen with Anejos and it was just starting with a PAM '26 40th
Anniversary I was smoking yesterday. Like Horse suggested, I clipped it back about an 1/8" and it was fine.
Mark, what a "1/2 half"? :D

Geez, I bet Lumpy could suck a golfball through a garden hose......

Maybe it's cos I tend to punch rather than clip, and tend to get a tight draw?

The last 2 times (I think that's all) was from Anejos, which are known 4 that.

Well it was good, no complaints, just an observation.

Humi was steady at 67% for months (well it's been between 65-70 4 months). Stick was in a ziplock bag inside coolerdor....I dont' think you can blame storage on that.

Ditto... had a lot of Opus, etc., and have never seen tar like that. Perhaps the cigar was relatively young?

Punches cause this problem, as I have seen this happen many times to people over the years.

Musta been the "OE 800", or you melted your braces... :D ;) :whistling:

It's not a problem to me. Didn't bother me in the slightest. Just thought I'd share.

Hey, funny thing, that's what I tell my wife when I cut a fart. Has about the same effect as saying it about those nasty pictures there Lums

Me smoke many Opus. Me never see this. Me think you giving too much head to cigar. Keep tongue at bay grasshoppa' :)

I too have smoked quite a few op'z, and nothing like that. Looks like your smoke has VD or something. Hopefully you were only smoking that thing and not getting all bill clinton with it :p

Totally kidding bro, no offense to your lovely girlfriend.
