I now officially feel sorry for anyone who purchases cigars in MN.  I was coming back from a fishing trip in Canada and smoked my last cigar on the trip to the border.  Stopped in Egan, just south of Minneapolis at a cigar store to stock up for the trip back to STL.  Shocking was all I can say about the prices.  All cigars were double what I would pay here or at least close to it.  AF Chateau was +9.00.  Left the store with enough to make it back to STL to the tune of +$90.00.  And I passed on buying cigars in Canada because the tax was too high. May have to rethink that next time and for sure make certain to take enough for the whole trip.  Kinda brings home the point which has been made here about the high tax rate up there.

Ummmm, yeah....

It's brutal!  I try and support my local B&M (it's not their fault) but its pretty much cost prohibitive.

Yea, I always bring 2 or 3 times the amount I think I'll need. Plugged, sharing, nasty, etc. Covers all contingencies and a good travel humi with a Boveda keeps them as fresh or even fresher than the cabinet.
