I can testify that the Holt's Aging Room is a great place to get a humidor for a great price. I scored a large (100 count) humi for $15 a couple months ago.

I will be buggered if I can find anything wrong with it. Great deal from Holts and the shipping was fast as usual.
 
As long as Holt's will guarantee that they still hold a seal well, despite being "scratch and dent," then it is a darn good price! :thumbs:
 
Maybe a little off topic, but I've got to recommend the Coleman solution for new guys:

48 Qt. coolers can be had at your local variety store for less than $20.00 all day. Use boxes from your local B&M for singles. Fill unused space with bubble wrap.

A pound of beads and a decent hygro and you are set for some real storage.

If you know anybody that is selling a large cabinet size used humidor, I sure would love to know. I am in the market for a 3000 cabinet size cigar humidor. I have, as of yet, found anyone selling used large cabinet humidors....
 
I just put in my order for Holt's liquidation humidors... I ordered a 100 count "Matte Cherry" humidor for only $25! I called and asked and they said it didn't come with any humidification stuff or a hygrometer... so I ordered two 50 count Savoy humidifiers for $5 each that they had on special too... but I've since heard that the humidor does in fact come with both humidification and hygrometer from reviews online???
I guess I'll see when it gets here...
Plus, would there be anything wrong with having whatever it comes with AND the two sponges I purchased?

Yeah no kiddin! Wonder if Sax ever got his 3000 humi.... :laugh: . Like an old soap opera....lol

And Verhoe....it does come with the humidifier and analog hygro. For this size humi I'd just use what came with it (after seasoning and salt testing). However, getcha some beads and a digi hygro by all means!

I got that same humi yesterday and it came with a savoy humidifier and an analog hygro. Cancel that order for the humidifiers and get some beads.
 
Good luck with cancelling. I tried to cancel two orders I made via email and phone and it shipped anyway. If you ordered, I'm betting it's already on it's way.

I'm wiping mine down with distilled water and using a shot glass for a week or so (old school). Gonna go ahead and use the humidifier that came with it and the analog hygro (it's calibrating now). It's a daily humi for me so I'm not going to worry about it too much. Nice little humi though!
 
Calling all cops and autobots! I have a quick question for those that also bought this "large" humidor. I read on another forum that the "large" was like 9 something x 13 something x 6 something, and mine came and it's nowhere near that size. Heck, it's not much bigger than the "25" count that I got in Thompson's 25 crap cigars + humidor deal for $29?! Lemmie know how big ya'll's larges are please.

Edit: yeah, that's cause it WAS the same size as the 25 from Thompsons.... there was a mixup and I got a small instead of a large hahahah. Either way, the Holt's people are super nice and all has been fixed. Woohoo!
