Hillside Herf (SoCal) August 25

Due to the success of the August 4th herf. We will be back up on the hill August 25. Again, this event will be open to the SoCal community...and those coming from elsewhere. The time is 3 pm until (Last time we went until 3 am...a solid 12 hours, whew...thanks honey!) All interested, please pm for directions. Also, please post your intentions so that I can get a count.
 
For all socal locals try not to miss this... it’s a great venue…

It's cool about last night. Just smoked a couple sticks with Alex (Rene's little brother).

The meat is smoking--brisket is going well, baby backs are doing well. Now I have to get the chickens going. I need to call timeout so that I can fire up a smoke of my very own.

As far as time, I think that we will be here for a long long while.
 
Too bad I'm not going to be able to make this event...will look forward to attending a future one.

Wow!!! Thanks to everyone that attended this edition of the Hillside. More fun, more smokes, more drinks, and more food. We had smoked brisket, baby backs, grilled chicken, hot dogs, and the fixin's. I have to refill my honey wine inventory. This time we fell about 15 minutes short of our last finish--over at 2:45am. Those attending were:

It was nice to have the wives out for the evening. They had a good game of Mahjong going. Mrs. Nee was schooling the ladies over there.

NOTE OF CAUTION: Don't do anything that Gabe or Doug tell you. They just want to get you drunk and embarass you. Trust me what they did to poor Alex "Jester..." was just cruel. Force feeding the guy a bottle of Zacapa 15 year and a bottle of Havana Club. Then convincing the guy that it was customary to chase that stuff with port and wine. Shame on you fellas. :laugh: :laugh:

Larry and his Wife are great hosts, I appreciate the the invitation and hospitality. Next time I am gonna show up early :laugh: , great people, food, drinks, and smoke what more could you ask for?

Thanks Larry for having me over again. My girlfriend and I(til the end) had a great time.

To doug and gabe(if you guys are on this board), I WILL have my revenge....
 
Practice up. You have a long road ahead of you. Doug is a bottomless pit and Gabe when you think he is tending his drink he's really sneaking swigs from the can of Coke he has hidden in his pocket.
