Opened this bottle today for a tasting with some of my regular herfing friends today, sweetest taste i've ever experienced with a single malt but what a kick, there's hardly any liquor burn but i drank it with just some coffee and it really shook me up. After my head started spinning i look at the alcohol content and it's 54.4 PERCENT by volume. From now on i'll show it a bit more respect. :0

I have been wanting to try the Highland Park line of Scotches for some time. I keep reading great things about them. You might want to brace yourself over the whole scotch and coffee pairing tho I'm not so sure about that one!!

I hope that was WITH coffee and not IN coffee. Neither way are for me but if you like it then fine.

I should clarify that after my head started spinning from not haven eaten anything that morning i drank some coffee to just put something in my stomach. The cigar store didn't have anything to eat except chocolate, and i'm on a diet. Quite the experience i must say!

Highland Park is good stuff. Was this one of the bottlings they do for stores? I had a Highland Park 23 single cask that was bottled for Park Ave. Liquors and it was pretty friggin' enjoyable. As I recall, it was nearly 120 proof.

I'm a huge fan of the Highland Park 18. I had 2 drams of the 25 this weekend while at Casa Fuente which made for a really enjoyable experience.

Not really anything special, just right off the shelve. I've been reading the reviews and figured it was time to go up in the price scale.

HP line up is very very good. The 12 is a good everyday drnker and the 18yo is a favorite of mine. I still have 2 bottles left that I bought 2 years ago fro $69 each the price has gone up over $100 in most stores now.

Either way if you are a Scotch lover and like the Highland style malts definitely give one of their offerings a test run, I am sure you will enjoy it.

Just picked up a bottle of the 15yr flat bottle. The owner let me sample from an open bottle. I've heard the 15 is quite nice but i was still surprised. Very well rounded and very drinkable. i'm sure my bottle wont last!
