IMHO, that's a subjective poll.

Most people, I would think, want a nice looking humidor but will purchase what they can afford. Unfortunately retailers need to cater for the entire spectrum. Stock more in the "up to $200" range and less of the rest. Perhaps you can drop ship the more expensive humidors so as not to have too much invested in inventory.

I have two Daniel Marshall Chest humidors, (which I have outgrown) MSRP around $860, so for the purpose of the poll I have checked $600 - $1500.

$600 at the most for me. Currently, I don't show my cigars off anyway, so coolers work just fine.

What I would pay completely depends on my desires and income. Not really needing a desktop I wouldn't pay that much. However, I did spend $225 for a fairly nice 150 count years before I bought my cabinet. If I had the cash and the desire I'd get whatever I want.

Call me cheap, but I wanted to make sure I was gonna stick with it for awhile. I bought mine for 65 off of ebay, has worked like a champ.

Not listed as one of the options, but being a woodworker I made my own, along with a couple more for good friends of mine. I made each of them of a different wood species, and all of them have a collage of actual cigar bands on the lid sealed in with a two part expoxy. Not sure of the max storage count but they're 13" wide x 11" deep x 8" tall. All lined with solid 5/8' spanish cedar with a 1/8" veneer of solid wood on the outside.

Black Walnut (for my friend Joe in Marshalltown, IA)
Birdseye Maple (for my friend Vince in DesMoines, IA
Lacewood (for me)

Wow! Very impressive Wade! Let me know if you ever get bored and want to let me pay you to make one of those beauties! :whistling:

I only spent $99 on a 100 count and its worked perfectly and isn't bad looking at all. But, I was close to buying a $200 savoy before I found my cheapy. I think $200-$300 would be my price point for anything better.

I'm surprised the 40% plus for the $200-$600 section. I guess I thought the $200 and under would have been 10-20 points higher that the mid range.

I guess I am the peasant class among you big dogs!! :D

...snipped the cool photos...

damn Wade... you could sell those! Awesome looking humi's...

Simply awesome work Wade!

They want about 6000 dollars for this one...

habanosmixhumidorwg4.jpg

But it comes with 150 of the best Cuban cigars lol

With that in mind, this one is almost a steal at just over 3000 dollars,

upmannhumidorqk0.jpg

it has the following cigars inside.

40 Prominentes
30 Upmann No.2
30 Connaisseur No.1

and looks cool as hell to boot.

IMO no way in hell is a empty humidor worth spending over 1000 dollars on. But I'm a poor dude, having an abundance of cash, might make me feel different on the matter.

Actually, I will never bother with a desktop ever again. I need a fricken' walk in!!
