Hollan and I decided to spark up our Hemingway In Between the Lines cigars at CFC 2006. Here are some pictures from the burning:

IBTL Burning pics

I really didn't expect much; I figured it'd just be a very expensive Hemingway Classic... but I was really quite impressed. I can't put my finger on what the blend could possibly be (and Carlito didn't remember), but this was definitely not a regular Hemingway Classic.

It really was a fabulous smoke, burning razor sharp, and was smoked down to the nub until I sadly tossed it away. The taste was very complex, changing from puff to puff, perhaps due to the wrappers, or perhaps simply because of the blend in the cigar.

Either way, it was a great experience, and excellent to do it with Hollan. I'm guessing it'll be something of a tradition, the torching of oddballs by oddballs at CFC.

Not much to say other than ya lucky bastage.

Wow. Nice to see people smoking sticks like that.
That's some great stuff, Moki.

Awesome pics. and thank for the review

What's on the menu next year? This would be cool!

Very cool pics.......and nice haircut. :p

I am putting this on my wish list.

Do you have to get your pants tailored for your extra large balls? This wanna-be Funente-whore praises the sir

The cigar or the haircut........

Thanks for the pics moki.....

I thought the strategy was to tell Carlito you didn't like it so he'd roll you another one? I must have had too many drinks before the dinner because I missed a lot of stuff there, including the lighting of the IBTL's.

I'm not sure I'd have the fortitude to smoke such a rare cigar.

But when you've got as many as Moki does, you've got to smoke them sometime!

Its like you found the last living Dodo bird and broke its neck! :sign: Which ofcourse was the right decision. :D Thanks for posting the pics!

Well Moki You are one lucky SOB :sign: ... there is no ifs, ands or buts you truly are living every Fuente whore wet dream! :p

BTW if you don't mind a few Q's:
1. How would one get an opportunity to attend the CFC? I presume it is invite only.
2. In regards to these rare Fuentes besides being available at CFC, charity events & auctions is there any other way of actually obtaining one?
3. Which was your favorite Fuente experience & cigar you had the pleasure to enjoy?

Thanks again for bringing us some of these rare moments I for one am grateful.

Nope, anyone can go. You just need to sign up for it when they announce it on CigarFamily.com

Trading and/or gifting... and some are available for ridiculous prices at Casa Fuente as well.

3. Which was your favorite Fuente experience & cigar you had the pleasure to enjoy?

Hopefully it hasn't happened yet!

C'mon Moki there has to be one that has left a lasting impression up to this date? The reason I'm asking 'cause I always wanted to hear what people think of these rare LE/SE cigars that one could possibly obtain to save for a special occasion (i.e. no Football/In Between the Lines here just thinking of something more "accessible" like BBMF).

Thanks

So, when's the next match? I'd like to see you go up against The Rock or the Hulkster... :)
