Apparently Bradford from Oklahoma won the 74th Heisman award as a Sophomore. Came as a surprise...thought Tebow would get it a second year in a row.

What are y'alls thoughts on the latest winner?

Give him the Heisman. Tebow will lead Florida to the National Championship.

Colt got jerked

I love watching college football. Always exciting. But when it comes to that bullshit ranking system, don't get me started. I think Texas should be in the championship...playing who, I don't care. That 1 in Oklahoma's record is because of Texas. That should hold more weight than any computer scoring.

I agree

Can't stand the Gators, but I really would of liked to seen Tebow get it.

I'm an Aggie...so I couldn't be happier that he didn't get it. :D

Colt got robbed!

I thought Colt was Texas' entire offense. Not sure Bradford could handle that load.

I would have voted Colt first, Tebow second and Bradford third.

My thoughts exactly. I think if most were coaching an offense they would pick Colt to run it for them. Bradford was rated the best passer, but that is not all that makes a great QB. Colt had a higher completion percentage and I believe he was the leading rusher on the team. Also, Colt didn't have a shot at the NC which hurt his chances.

Oh well, I didn't get to vote  .

Colt was the Overall top QB in the NCAA this year. The only stat the Bradford had over Colt was TD passes(IIRC). Tebow was the heart ans sould of his team, on both sides of the ball. Which puts Bradford a distant 3rd if I were voting. I guess some things re more important than others....

I was relieved Tebow didn't get it. I lived in Florida for 8 years and have a lot of Gator friends. I'm a Buckeye and when I don't have a dog in the fight I have to adopt the philosophy with my friends of, "I don't care who wins, as long as you don't!" It makes watching those SEC games more fun when you root against your buddy's team!

Plus, being a Buckeye I'm very proud to say that we still have the only 2-time Heisman Trophy winner.

Cheers,

Tony

I don't think Tebow should have won. His numbers and Florida were very vanilla before losing to Ole Piss. After that game they have been on fire. Both Colt and Bradford were consistently great. I'm also happy that Tebow lost, so I can see the curse of the Heisman strike OU again and the SEC will have 3-straight titles.

As a huge Gator fan I'm actually happy that he didn't win it. The Heisman brings a lot of responsibility before the bowl games that causes a lot of distraction - hence the recent curse. Maybe this will give the Gators a slight edge in the National Championship and I'm sure that all Gator fans and even Tebow himself would rather have the Coaches Trophy than the Heisman this year. I think that Bradford was the best QB this year, as evidenced by his amazing stats, with Colt right there with him. As the "Most Outstanding Player" though, I would have to say that there is no other player than Tebow that I would rather have on my team...and therefore I think that Tebow is most deserving. Selfishly, I think that not winning the Heisman may be a big reason why Tebow decides to come back next year. Although I dont think that he is big on personal awards and such, I'm sure that this could allow him to realize that he still has things to accomplish in college ball.

I'm not upset with it, I thought all 3 were justified to have it. I would have like to have seen Tebow get it though. I like to watch him play.
