I use the beads in my smaller desktop humi and am considering them for my larger armoir once I get it done. Currently I try to keep the beads about 70% moist and 30% dry. With that being said, would it work if there were two seperate containers of beads in the humi seperated in the above %'s and kept one wet and the other dry? Or would the dry one soak up to much moisture and end up more moist too?

Hmmm

You will have better results if all of the beads are kept roughly at the same percentage of clear versus white. This gives you more moisture storage and the beads will not be working against each other they will be working to keep the humidor at the right level. The more you have the better the rh level will be and the quicker the humidor will recover after the door is closed.

Well, looking at your title under your screen name I guess you'd know! That's how I do it now so I guess I'll keep the same procedure, I just thought maybe what I described would work better. Thanks for the input, I do appreciate it. I think it's time to buy a couple more pounds!
