I am heading up to Canada for the week for a training class for work. Anyone know of any good cigar shops or cigar bars in this area? I will not have a car so I will have to take a cab or bus if it is far away.

Any help is appriciated!

Paul

I don't know anything about Mississauga but I have actually spent a good bit of time in Montreal recently and my advice is to bring your own. Canadian taxes will kill you. Pipe tobacco is truly two or three times what I pay down here.

I am noticing that with booze and food as well. I need to get back to NH! This town is a dive nothing in walking distance and Toronto is a 20 min cab ride. I am going to hit up Google tonight see what's really in the area.

Thanks for the info

Smoking indoors is heavily controlled in Ontario. And - I went (via the subway) to a cigar shop - the prices were definitely eye opening (taxes are brutal). There is a Casa del Habano in Yorkville (downtown Toronto - off Bloor and Queens St) - you can sit outside and have a cigar (weather permitting). Otherwise, I wish I had some recommendations for you - good luck finding a good place to smoke...

In Mississauga, you're actually very close to Toronto - not sure what your situation is, but the subways take you pretty much anywhere you want to go downtown. Very cheap and clean. If you are able to get near downtown, make sure you get to Gretzky's. . It's a short walking distance from the iconic needle.

if you're doing some checking around, visit www.TTC.ca - very nice public transit trip planner.
