Visiting NYC for the first time. 9/5-9/8. I will be staying in the times square area. I will have likely lots of free time on my hands during the day as I am tagging along with the wife, as she attends a training. Any MUSTS??? Lombardis, the original pizza??? Best place to light up and or enjoy schotch/whiskey/mojito/beer Also I don't really know any B/SOTL in NY, but if you'd like to sit down a while and pass some time, would be cool. All suggestions welcomed. Thanks in advance. :)

What happened to smoking locally :whistling:

Have a great trip!

I'll gladly make time. I'll show up and can bring some snacks/smokes to share. Weekends are usually best. I'm down. Travel outside of the metro area this month would be tough though. ;/

I'm surprised no one had helped you out here. There's always club macanudo. I am about an hour north of the city and the wife and I like to go down in Fridays. We go to Florio's, its in little Italy and they have cigars and you can smoke there, then we go to the comedy cellar and catch a show. If you like comedians, this is a great place, or Caroline's, a lot of big name comics show up on Fridays to try out new sets. Almost every Friday we catch Jim Norton or Louie CK.

Just saw this plenty of places to burn a few. Let me know what afternoon you are available and I'll try to meet up with you!

FYI: Florio's in Little Italy (both the Restaurant and the club upstairs) has been closed for several months due to some licensing issues with the transfer of the liquor and tobacco licensed after the death of the previous owner (R.I. P Larry!) . I was told that the owners (Larry's family) are hoping to reopen soon, but nothing solid on the timeline. Florio's was always a haven for military personnel and was packed during fleet week with Sailors and marines who had a line of folks fighting to pay for their Cigars and drinks. I hope it reopens soon...NYC needs more places to smoke!

Amen to that...

Limited time, three days flew by, and since transport (subway/walking) took most of available time, I really didn't get to visit many cigar related spots, I did stop by and support mulberry st. Cigars. Picked up a couple of the house blen naturals, nice smokes IMHO. There will be a next time, we'llmake a meet up happen. I got to NJ one night for dinner at Azucar, 911 memorial, some souvenir shopping, gelato next to mulberry, china town Vietnamese food, Grimaldi's pizza in Brooklyn, walked around Times Square and ate lunch around there. About 1 "free" hour burned a stick by the Marriot Marquis/ Evita with some street cart coffee. I look forward to the next trip to NYC, and setting aside time to burn. We loved NYC and plan to return, hopefully in the next year sometime.

Thanks,
C
