Nice smoke.

-Very dark wrapper w/ a small vein or two
-Dark roasted coffee and farm smells prior to ignition
-Solid in the hand and clipped quite well

-Good ignition and burn from start to finish
-Full-bodied flavor w/ cocoa undertones
-Produced a nice amount of smoke, but not a ton
-Held a good two inch ash before dropping

The Pyramides EL is an enjoyable smoke. It got a bit spicey toward the end, but I suppose that's to be expected. I'm really starting to notice a flavor profile w/ the ISOM's. Time and time again I'm tasting cocoa. Not quite as noticeable on this one as it was w/ the 2003 Montecristo #2 I smoked recently, but definitely there.

90 in my book w/ potential for a 91 w/ more time.

Good review Mr. Bones.
Hmmmm i like cigars with that cocoa flavor.
Sounds like i should put this on my "to buy" list. :D

I'm surprised you didn't notice it with the Untold Story Maduro -- that's a very chocolatey/cocoa cigar, IMHO. If I recall correctly, the one you had was a very tight draw though, that might do it.

I've heard really good things about the HdM Pyramides EL -- can't wait to try one.

Have not had the HdM EL, but some may be coming soon, can't wait to try.

Smoked one last night.

At least I know those guys have at least one stick to look forward to! :sign:

Is it just me or is there something wrong with the most recent of reviews. One, liked the flavor of "manure" and this cigar has "farm" smells. WTF? LMAO

I guess I have never read reviews that had these attributes. ??? :D

Some consider these attributes as characteristic of authentic habanos.

I understand what they mean but it is pleasantly called "rich soil smells" not manure or farm. :D

You know the intoxicating smell of a fresh habanos just pulled out of your humidor after resting for quite some time?

I got a buddy who says that they (only habanos and ONLY the ones that smell great!!!) smell like FEET!!! LMAO!! Every time I hop in his car and I have a cigar in my mouth he goes on about that.

So if my buddy had done the review he would have had descriptive words like "feet, Toe Jam, Cheese funk, ect." in his review

Rich soil smells? Bah!

Smells like horse sh*t to me :D

Seriously, the recent box of Monte A's I picked up smelled like the business end of a holstein when I first opened it. Gotta' love that.

I finally had one of these. Damn if it wasn't a great cigar! The chocolate flavors were intense. I see a box of these in my future
