My search fu is probably weak, but I could not find much mention of these on the forum. I don’t smoke often enough to buy “yard ‘gars”, and I don’t smoke while doing chores or driving, it’s a sit-down-and-enjoy-the-experience thing for me. And I don’t smoke enough to need to stock really inexpensive cigars, so I don’t put much effort into searching for them.

But I started smoking HC Series back when Xicar started the brand, and I’ve found them a very reliable smoke and consider them a great value. They’re not premium, but I think they are very good for an everyday smoke and they typically make up about half my smokes, the rest being more high-end sticks. Cigars International has a Spring 30% off sale going right now, and I got 60 of them for between $3.15 and $4.50 per stick. I just reloaded 20-cigar bundles of the Black Maduro, Connecticut, and Habano Colorado. Give them a try for a good medium-priced stick.

And many, many thanks to @MrPerfecto for introducing veteran cigars! Wow! I’ll be smoking more premium brands now thanks to that!

It’s good you found you’re economical go-to.

Mine right now is the “Oliva Serie G Maduro” which I buy when I can find them for less than or at $3.00.

Just started trying out the “Toasty Jones” which at $2.00 to $ 3.00 might take my top spot.

Oh, boy! Those are certainly in the right price-point. And I’ve never been disappointed in any Olivia. And the Toasty Jones has gotten a lot of attention. Maybe next time, I’ll expand my horizons a bit and try something else. I’m very much a creature of habit, and I’ve just been reloading the HCs because I’ve liked them. I’ll try some others next time.

I keep a decent supply of yard gars on hand. Tasty Jones is my new favorite cheap cigar. Let them age a few months, and they're actually very good. Excellent flavor, burn, construction, etc. Most impressive cheap cigar I've had in quite a while. Check out www.CigarPage.com -- they have some unique blends. Tasty Jones is made exclusively for them from a reputable factory in Nic.

Yes, I've been reading your review of them. I will definitely give them a try, they are creating a lot of buzz. Interesting you think it may be the Drew Estate factory. They do put out very good stogies, would not surprise me if you're right.
