Everyone should know that Jarheads do three things better than anyone. Drill, Fight and Celebrate. Well at your advanced age the appeal of marching around the grinder may have diminished over the long, long years, and besides, I understand your sword has gotten dull and your Blues are just a might snug. Fighting? Out of the question, you could get hurt. Lets face it, we just ain't as resilient as we used to be. And, of course, it's unseemly for a man your age to go around gettin' his ass kicked in bars by young sailors, even if it is fun. So all that seems to be left is celebrate. I'm sure you have a cigar and special drink picked. Hell, one out of three ain't bad, considering.
 
Have a Happy Birthday, Skipper and may you have many more, although they may be a bit boring.

Thank you one and all and while the sword isn't dull (either metaphorically or in reality) the Blues are snug and I can't run as fast as I did to to catch those youngsters to beat their ass I still can celebrate with the best of them. Or I think I can from what I remember.  My birthday is the only day I smoke in the house so I'll have the fire going, the scotch flowing and the smoke blowing tonight trying to keep warm. :)
