…waking up to a stabilized, newly set-up coolerdor!

stable_hygro.jpg

Getting this thing up and running has been a loooong time coming.
I went back’n’forth in my decision to use 65% or 70% beads. At one point I thought I decided to use some of each to aim for 67% or 68%, but since I’m using this coolerdor strictly for aging boxes, as opposed to storing ready-to-smoke cigars, I opted for 70%.
I figure when I'm getting ready to smoke something from the coolerdor, I'll move it to one of my desktops to stabilize at the 67%-68% RH at which I keep those.

And the stability of my new coolerdor doesn’t come a moment too soon, as I’ve got three boxes of cigars arriving today!

I’ll get photos of my coolerdor up a little later.

This definitely calls for a celebratory smoke today!

I'm happy. :D

I agree!!!
Mine is finally stabile, working great and ready for boxes. Sadly I have none on the way yet, but I hope to rectify that very soon.

I used the 65% beads and use a cigar oasis to crank the RH up after opening the door. Until I need the room, I'll keep the Cigar Oasis in and use it this way... really helps the RH come back up quickly if the door is opened for too long, which I hope will make the beads last longer between recharges...

Very nice. Here's to many well aged boxes. I have yet to start my first cooler but I do have a tuprador I just got stabilized.
