This cigar has been on my list of "Want to try" for a long time and thanks to a certain BOTL, I was able to finally have one
This is a Corona Gorda size which is the same size as an SLR Serie A, H. Upmann Magnum 46, Punch Super Seleccion #2, Cohiba Siglo IV, etc. 5 5/8 x 46
Mine was a June, 2001 which is a nice amount of aging time on these cigars.
Draw was typical Havana draw, firm but not too tight. Construction was perfect, taste was very nice, the typical H. Upmann flavor which is hard to describe but if you're familiar with H. Upmanns, you can recognize the flavor/taste without too much trouble. Burn was near perfect. Now I never quite understood the concept of "finish" but sometimes cigars taste crappy near the end and sometimes they don't. This one tasted fine all the way to the end.
This was a great cigar, better than any of the Magnum 46's I've ever had but that was probably due to the AGE on this one  . Like the good doctor says, H. Upmanns are "deceitfully mild and bland when young" so in my experience it's nice to have a little age on any H. Upmann.
On the cA scale:
92
