I was gifted this cigar by bruddah Dave (4cbln3), and it is an absolutely stunning cigar. Box code is EMA NOV 07. Perfect construction, aroma, and oils.
Aroma at cold has honey, sweet tobacco, milk coffee, and busciuts. The draw is loose, but not too much. Great feel in the hand, just right when squeezed.
Into the opening and the first third, the aroma is captivating. Medium bodied, with rich tobacco, coffee, and a sweetness on the tongue. I can really tell that this has been aged properly. Plenty of smoke. Fantastic aroma, steady burn. Very smooth and creamy. Much like a more flavorful Mag 46. The ash stayed on strong until tapped off. Lots of tooth
Into the second third, and the flavors change to more floral notes, tea, and sweet spice. Definitely medium-full in body. I love this about Upmanns, the smell as you take a draw just exudes class. It stayed this way into the final third, down to the nub. I completely forgot to take a nub picture, I was enjoying this cigar too much! It was a long one, about two hours. Thank you Dave for the opportunity to smoke such a fine cigar! I really had to fight the urge to just sit back and let the cigar take over, which is why this review isn't as in depth as others I have done. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking
