I have been on a Gurkha kick recently and I have to say of all the ones i have tried this one stands out, far out, among the others.

Wrapper
A rich oily black leaf. I am a maduro and cameroon fan and this was the blackest cigar in the box.

Pre-Smoke
Nice full draw, wrapper has a nice spicyness to it and burns your lips a bit even before it is lit.

The smoke
Full body, thick heavy white ash that doesn't fall off. Tastes of molasses, unsweetened cocoa and pepper, Been smoking a Churchill for almost 90 minutes now and still going strong. Taste is consistent but getting spicier down in the back third.

Drink
None, but smoked after a heavy Balboa steak sandwich (thin sliced steak and cheese on garlic bread).

Summary
If you like a strong, sweet, dark cigar that makes everyone around you take notice, this is it. One of the best young Maduro's I have smoked.

Thanks for the review. I saw these on CI and they looked interesting.

Thanks for the review. I had been wondering about this line, since Gurkha tends to make more mild/medium smokes.

Nice review. They are good looking sticks.

I'm interested in how you saw this as full bodied? I went through a few torpedoes and thought them mild at best. It could just be the difference between the sizes. Anyway...

To be honest I’ve been moving away from gurkha’s as I tend to liker stronger smokes these days but this is one of them that I still enjoy. They are a bundle smoke so inconstancy in taste when there young isn’t uncommon, just let them settle in a bit.
