I realize many of you won't even read a review if it doesn't have pictures. And I too, prefer to see the nice pics with a review. However, IMHO, there is value in simply sharing how a particular cigar performed.

The appearance was actually very nice with dark oily spots and a rich medium dark brown overall tone. It felt very solid and evenly filled throughout the length. I have noticed many cigars with big bands like Gurkha sometimes have hard spots under the band.

I cut it with Wilkey’s method of lightly scoring it and popping the cap off. The pre light draw had cedar and nice tobacco flavors, and was slightly tight but it quickly produced enough smoke that I would not have wanted it any looser.

This cigar hit my palette very well. It was full flavored but didn’t overwhelm my sensitive little palette with too muck smoke or nicotine flavor. I poured a big glass of iced green tea and had a bottle of water handy for cleansing.

The first third had a flavor I can best describe as one you would get if drinking a cappuccino and eating a good dark chocolate. The flavor seemed to lay heavy on my tongue

It required a couple touch ups early but I will assume that is because I lit it right out of the mailbox. I believe this will be an outstanding smoke in a few weeks let alone a few months.

The second third built in intensity both in flavor and strength. The flavor seemed to move to espresso and dark cocoa but still pleasant. I had to pay attention to it to keep it from going out but again I attribute this to having no time in the humidor. That and I was writing a report and occasionally put the client ahead of the cigar……..silly me.

The final third continued to build in intensity and eventually became too strong for me to smoke to the nub. But keep in mind I am a lightweight when it comes to strength.

All in all, I really enjoyed this cigar and am looking forward to the next one I smoke with a little age on it.

You lost me right here, but I'm sure what you wrote was fine...
