Theres only a few things I like as much as a good stick.

Hunting
1911s
and rifles

Just checking in for my first post from the LAME state of CA.

Norther californian Just gearing up for bow season. Hows everyones summer been?

I am still waiting to be able to get my hands on bulk .22 cal ammo.  It is my ammo of choice for varments and target.  The  9mm and .40 for my hand guns is finally available.  I didn't want to shoot it all up before there was replacement ammunition available.  So, it's been a little slow so far this summer.

You should PM Elittle.  He's a bow hunter and is in your area.  Plus he'll bring great cigars to share.

They are claiming the wicked winter killed off a lot of the deer herd in WI.  Add the fact that ammo is impossible to find, and even shotshells are slim now.  Hunting camp may be even MORE beer drinkiing and cards.  I didn't think that was possible....

hunting -
1911's -
rifles -
State of Cali - no way, no how! :p   No moose or caribou to put in the freezer. And there's no open season on the indigenous idiots that seem to prevail there.

Speaking of shooting... gonna hit the range today.

Big bore revolvers
1911 style hot .45's
Big bore rifles

.40 carry

Love 'em

1911
870
Benelli Super Black Eagle
Muzzleloader (Knight Superdisc)
Several rifles
And my favorite hunting method. PSE Baby G bow.

Can't wait for fall, cooler temps, and to sit in a stand next to my 12 year old son.

How do u like that muzzle loader? I have been thinking about getting into them considering how far they have come in the last decade as far as shooting out to 100....
Bow hunting is my passion!!! I am leaving friday for 10days of bow hunting!!
Happy to see this thread come to life

Now,  I can shit some hard terds again....

Well that's good. Staying liquid for to long can really mess your whole day up.

Wait wait. We can say shit here!? HOLY ****!!!!!!! Never been on a forum where I can swear.

My muzzleloader is my favorite gun to shoot believe it or not.

It's a disc rifle that uses a 209 shotgun primer as an ignition source, so it never fails. It's a real looker with a composite camo stock and a stainless fluted barrel/receiver.
It's a .45 caliber that seems to love 165 grain ballistic tip sabot rounds and 150 grains of powder best.

That combo amazingly has almost no drop at 200 yards. The first time I tried it, I aimed about six inches above the bullseye and thought I'd made a mistake when I hit 6 inches above the bullseye. Nope!

Ill have to look into those

Im thinking about going beedog hunting this year also.... damn beedogs are every where
