Guantanamera Cristales 6 x 42rg.

They are mild cigars originating from the Vuelta Arriba region of Cuba.
Soft, tan wrapper and loosely rolled, it burned and drew perfectly.

I smoked it with my fresh-ground Columbian coffee and found it a good match. It's nutty flavors mixed well with the nutty coffee making a great start to the fourth of July holiday. The coffee and the cigar lasted about 45 minutes and I nubbed it with no bitterness at all. Great morning cigar and only my third Cuban to date.

I would love to do it again someday; but, alas it was a gift of one I doubt I will have an opportunity to acquire again.

Edited for spelling and punctuation and...
what do you ex[ect before coffee? ;)

Glad you liked it, however I loath these things and wouldn't smoke one if it was the last cigar on the planet.

Different strokes for different folks...

I'm not overly fond of them either. They are not real bad, (mass produced for tourists, and machine made), .... just rather pay another buck and get a better cgar, like SLR PC, or a Por Lorranaga Panatela.

That's what interesting about newbie samplers - you smoke the most unlikely cigars and it's often a unique experience. The third ISOM I've ever smoked and it's unique :p Not bad, just mild and not one too many people would buy if given a choice. Still, a pretty good first cup-a-joe cigar!

I like them, there are better cigars but I think they are nice... maybe because I prefer mild - medium smokes.

Very ironic, my buddy went to Canada and brought back one with him and smoked it last night. I was looking at it and kinda thinking in the back of my head something was up with it. Machine made explains it. He said it wasn’t bad though.

I picked up a box in curacao and they kind taste like dirt to me. I've since gifted most of them away.

hmm... interesting, there are very good opinins about those Guantanameras, and also a lot of bad bad bad opinions - for example in best&worst cigar topic. I'm interested with it because few days ago I get my Guanatanamera - fortunately I bought only 1 , just to try :)

So... My first impression was "Uuuuoh! It smells awfully! Hope it will not taste similary" I few weeks I think I'll burn it and then write a noob impression about Guantanameras Cristals :)

That will be a first for both of us! Welcome to CPass!

Vortex, it's great to try any ISOM smoke for the first time, but if you like those machine made critters, there are better out there. Try the Brevas

What's a "Brevas"? I guess the inherent danger of being a newb is boring a fog. But that being said, I thought the staying power of this thread was amazing - considering the subject matter and ineptitude of the reviewer. :D
