Many know me from other boards, so I figured if you'd not seen it, I'll post it here...

Saturday, March 4, 2006
Churchill's Lounge
40 North St
Boston, MA

1PM-?

We have many vendors on board and celebrities. Jack Williams, local news anchor, will be covering it for a story.

Any and all are welcome. Zero fee, just get me your name/screen name, so I can put you on the raffle/door prize drawings.

I haven't. Its not like I can make it to Boston in time, but just for argument's sake, what the HELL are you talking about.

A little event some of the Boston guys put on every year. We have several sponsors and vendors giving us truck loads of stuff to give away. Cigars, hats, ligters, etc.

Anybody and everybody is welcome.

Not mandatory, but it would be nice if eveyone visits Churchills humidor. Barry gives us the run of the place for the day, and charges us zero.

Past get togethers have seen upwards of 100 people.

Last year, we had big wigs from Perdomo, Cuban Crafters, and JR's.

So, just a fun cigar day.

No fee, just sign up.

Thanks for posting this here Wacco. I was hoping to make it but at this point, I highly doubt it. We have a few members from Massachusetts here so again, thanks for letting us know.

Damn birthdays messing up my cigar smoking. This weekend, my birthday, no quad state herf. March 3-5th, older brother's party in NYC for his birthday...

Thanks for letting us know....someday I'll get a chance to actually smoke with some of you guys!

This is our annual HUGE get together. We have mini ones, with 6, 8, maybe 10 folks once a month or so. I'll keep you posted on those as well...

hmmm...this sounds cool...beantown is only an hour drive for me.

Just let me know so I can add you to the list.

Celebs contacted today for poosible drop in...

Peter Criss
Larry The Cable Guy
Lew Rothman

This sounds like fun. The cigar party/event is a great idea, and this sounds a lot less intimidating for a beginner than getting together with a small group of seasoned pros. Even so, I should ask: is this event noob-friendly? I mean, is the atmosphere relaxed, or would someone who's only been smoking cigars about a month feel really out of place there?

Also, is there parking at/near this venue? I don't drive in Boston unless I really have to, usually ^_^

Borric, as I said earlier, any and all are welcome. Folks new to cigars are especially encouraged. You can learn a lot, and see how fun and friendly the cigar community is. Very relaxed atmosphere.

There are several parking garages surrounding the place. I have a Chevy 2500 truck, and I fit in all of them, and never seen them full.

Rob, PM returned.

Wacco, thanks a lot for the reply. I'll definitely try to make it, I'll PM you within a couple of weeks when I know for sure.

Guys-

I attended this last year and had a great time

Bill (Wacco) does a great job of organizing this. There were tons of cigars and tons of raffles...in addition to the great company of many good people.

Churchill's is a great lounge and a great host.....

last year Steve Saka was there also. Talked with him for a long time and some of best conversation was not about cigars. Talked like we were old friends.

If you can make it, I highly recommend attending.

Bill thanks for putting this together again and thanks again for organizing a great event.

I need to check the wife's calendar....err, I mean my schedule as I am currently out of town.

Ahhh, CigarAl, a fellow Franklin resident. I hope you can make it.

i am planning to be there, look foward to meeting you guys if you can make it. thanks for the heads up Bill, much appreciated.

So yeah, I'm definitely coming down too. I PMed MadAl on Herfers Paradise but I wanted to let you know too.

^_^
