So this is my first ever Graycliff, gifted to me by the Bat_Chief.

I finally smoked it after my Opus debacle.

It was fairly soft, and smooth. I punched it and there was the slightest tear at the head.

Draw was very very loose. Plenty of smoke.

It definitely had a pre-light taste to it. Sort of a combination of rabpberries, bat guano, Lapsong Sauchong tea, and horse urine. If you think that last sentence was a joke, you're right. It had a unique flavor. That's all I can say.

Once it was lit like I said there was plenty of smoke. The cigar is very mild. Can't say much else. It's not a very remarkable cigar at all. It has its own character, and I kept trying to find something to set it apart. But I really can't see what all the hype is about. It's a decent cigar. Not great.

Once the cigar got to be under 2 1/2 inches the smoke got really, really hot. Due to the loose draw the smoke wasn't getting cooled much at all. SO I started waiting linger between puffs and it was OK.

I want to give the Emeralds (candela wrapper) a try but I think these are your typical overpriced cigars. I'm willing to bet it's cause they're made in the Bahamas and not the D.R. or some other country where you can roll the tobacco for cheaper.

At their price I only like the Espresso . I havn't had one of the Crystals ,but I have heard they are good as well

After checking out their site, I'd probably spring for one of their pearl labels. I like sungrowns.

i've tried a couple of graycliffs and was NEVER impressed. I think they are WAY over priced for what you get, and they leave a horrible taste in my mouth. Not a fan, but if you like it, smoke it! :D

Man oh man, am divided.
So I decided to spend some savings and got a few of these. The white lable, of which I had 3 all ranged from so-so to sucky.
On the other hand, had a green lable, and that was one tasty candela!

Big fan of the Espresso Graycliffs (especially the PG). Wife and go to the Bahamas every Thanksgiving week and always go there for dinner and cigars. The Blue (Profesionale) label aren't bad either but if you are going to spend the money, get the Black label. I have a few Crystal waiting to be smoked as well as some Red label (don't like these as much). They are overpriced but really good cigars.

EDIT: And that's post #900. :p

I have had several of these cigars and have never had a bad one. These cigars are pretty tasty IMHO. I think Lumberg had a bad one.
