Gran Torino - Eastwood

Just watched a bootleg copy of Gran Torino at the local smoke shop. The movie was fantastic - especially for all you Eastwood lovers.
*Good one to watch with a cigar in hand!

Wondering if anyone else has viewed it and their thoughts.
 
I saw it as well.... Excellent film with a good message!
 
Heard nothing but great reviews about this one!
Planning on taking my dad to see it this wknd.,
he's a HUGE Eastwood fan so he's definitely looking forward to it.
 
Im not a big Eastwood fan, but I do plan on watching it. Any time an old-timer (or anyone for that matter) is laying the beat down on a bunch of gang-bangers im game to watch!
 
Went to see Doubt last week with my wife; it was a real tour de force. We saw the Gran Torino trailer, and I think that having seen the trailer and read the reviews, we'll be going. Even if I have to carry her in over my shoulder.
 
Just saw the movie and just simply wow. I can't wait for it to be on DVD and hope they release a Unrated version of it as I will definitely add it to my collection. :thumbs:
 
I am planning to see this for sure. I also heard this will be the last movie he acts in, but he will continue to direct.
Anybody hear this?
 
I was supposed to preview it this morning at work(I work at a movie theater) but I couldn't make it, watched it some at work tonight though, seems solid. Gonna have to check it out soon.
 
Saw it with the wife this evening and all I can say is "wow"! What a great movie. An instant classic and now one of my top ten of all time. :thumbs:
 
Also, saw it last night with the wife.

Outstanding. Actors, story, everything was great. While Eastwood shines the rest of the cast was great also. I am glad they did not cast other "known" actors in the supporting roles.

I saw him interviewed on TV yesterday, won't mention the program, he said his next movie was about Nelson Mandela and that he wasn't in it. He didn't mention anything about not acting again.
