Gran Habano Corojo #5

I just finished one of these and all I can say is WOW. For one thing it is a BIG mutha at 54 RG, nearly a jawbreaker. The flavor is absolutely Honduran (becoming my favorite country of origin for cigars). There is just the right amount of spice to compliment rich tobacco flavor. I think I am going to hafta pick up a box (or two) for regular consumption as the price more than meets the wallet. IMO it does rival the fullness and spiciness of any cigar out there......but at one helluva price. What a tasty treat!!

I've smoked my way through most of a box. Very nice smoke for the price. If you like Corojo wrapped cigars, you cannot go wrong for the price with this one.

ya, it did very well. just goes to show you, sometimes price doesn't matter much. i too have enjoyed these, got a couple of sticks in the humi with some age on them.

I just smoked a cigar that seems VERY comparable to these in terms of flavor, and spiciness. It was from Famous called a "Honduran Bundle" cigar. No other designation other than that....except for the size which was rothschild. It wasn't as refined as the Gran Habano....it was more like the Gran Habano's scrappy little brother LOL....similar and very good....just a bit (not much) rougher around the edges. The best part about the Honduran bundle cigars .....they cost even less than the Gran Habano (which are a very good deal in their own right). I picked up a bundle on auction for 17 bux!! One of the best buys I have made thus far. (I still plan on grabbing a box of the Habanos as well.)

I agree that this is a spicy little number and balanced nicely, too. These go on auction at Famous, too!
