Got my pipes in. They all look great! Also got a few accessories (tampers, pouch, pipe cleaners, etc.) to go along with them. I'm guessing a reamer can wait, all of these pipes are new.
Now for tobacco. My first purchase will include the following:
McClelland Frog Morton Series Sampler (includes a tin of each of the Frog Morton tobaccos)
Nording Hunters Series Sampler (includes a tin of each)
Hearth and Home Sampler from pipesandcigars.com
-Butternut Burley
-Larry's Blend
-Namaste'
-Old Lodge
-Sun Jammer
-Trout Stream
Pipeworks & Wilke Sampler
-Gramercy Park
-Gotham Court
-Nut Brown Burley
-Vermont Maple
These choices seem to give me a pretty good start into some quality tobacco for a darn good price. I know it's a little heavy on the aromatics, but I think these are probably pretty darn good aromatics. I've got a whole list of about 20 English and other blends to try later. I've got to start somewhere.
Is there anything on this list that anyone would avoid at all costs? I checked tobaccoreviews.com and all seemed very highly rated.
Any other personal recommendations that would be better in these same styles and blends? I'm willing to try anything at least once or twice.
My cigar budget for the next few months is sure taking a hit, but I'm actually excited about smoking again!
Thanks again for all the help on this. Without the Pipe Room here, I'm not sure I would have begun this journey...
