Got my 32ct Otterbox and just as the other posts on otterboxes, it is fabulous. Also ordered mine with the Humidipuck.

Just one suggestion for Mark, hehe. I see that on your directions for the Humidipuck you say to be CAREFUL opening the Humidipuck. Well I was, but I didn't realize exactly how careful and I had to pick up about 100 little beads, lol.

My own fault I'm well aware, but you might want to say something like, Be CAREFUL opening the Humidipuck as it is filled with about 1000 little beads that will spill all over!

Make it moron proof for peeps like me,lol.

Absolutely love it and really appreciate you shipping it out to me in Baghdad. I preach your products to the rest of cigar pals daily.

Funny thing is...
When Mark showed me the prototype at the Quad State Herf he did not 'open carefully'!
He has spilled the contents of many a Humidi-puck!

beer + beads =

Wow, that was quicker than I thought it would be Wyatt!

Sorry to hear about the spillage, I will revise the instructions to be more prominent on the "CAREFULLY" - thanks for the tip.

BTW - Another of our country's finest (Kelly) ordered something just the other day! Thanks for the kudos and referrals and stay safe bro!

Hey Mark,
I have to tell you I did the same thing (but I'm the typical dumbass who doesn't read the instructions about sticking the fork in the plugged in toaster until its too late! hahaha).

I only lost perhaps 6 or 7 beads (I was an outfielder in junior league baseball, so I saved many from hitting the turf!).

However, my questions is this: If these beads are similar to Vipers beads, is wetting the foam and placing it over the top of the beads effective enough to get ALL the beads equally hydrated? Wouldn't it be much better to spray water on them instead of placing the wet foam over the beads, hoping it will evenly spread to all beads?

I supposed if diffusion takes a while and the sponge/foam does the trick, then I can just shove it eh? ahahhaha

You're input would be greatly appreciated....
Darren

The beads are hydrated to about 40% when they are shipped. The idea of having users hydrate the foam instead of the beads directly was because I intend on trying for a widespread distribution to tobacco retailers where most consumers would not be familiar with the engineered silica media. Having the user hydrate the foam makes it simple to use and reduces the chances of over hydrating the beads.

Hydrating the beads is definitely an option if you want to do it.

Thanks a ton for the input bro, I greatly appreciate!

I have the 32 count also, usually half full when I leave for a trip. On the way home I am usually using bags to carry the extra's. Never enough room.

:) This happy camper is happy to report that my 32 count Otter is in my happy little hands!! It didn't come with any instructions (Yeah, I know... DUH! put cigars in and humidify) but I'd love to know if I have to humidify before thinking about putting cigars into the caddy (pre trip humidifying).

any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Darren

Put them in and go!

The cigars will have some humidity from the humi they are in now.

With a sealed otter-box, I have found NO problems.

If anything at times the cigars have been too moist (no beads to stabalize).

I was thinking about removing my round green foam filled credo and filling it with beads...

Has anyone done this? (hi-jack of thread not intended) - please pm me!

Thanks
Gary

I replaced my foam with the Humidipuck and the stubborn thing won't budge from 69%, couldn't be happier :) Not sure about Viper Beads.
