Got a storage question

I bought some 5 packs off Cbid to get me started and made a little mistake.

I got a pack of Cojimars and did not realize that they are flavored. I thought White Sage was a name, not a flavor. Vanilla, Rum, Honey, now those are flavors, but White Sage?

Anyway, I only have one humi at the moment. I know that it is not good to store flavored with the good stuff. But can I keep them sealed in a plastic baggie in the humidor for a temporary fix? Or am I risking some blending with my other smokes?

Thanks.

I would not put them in your humidor.

Set up a seperate tupperdor to store them in. They will definately change the flavors of your other cigars and could permiate the cedar in your humidor.

Keep them seperate at all cost.

Thats what I was thinking, but I was hoping to get away without having to make a second humidor so soon. :)

Good thing I have several ammo cans in the closet.

I'd just throw them out and chalk up the lost money to a bad decision.

You don't really want to smoke those anyways..

I should have known something was wrong when I got them for only 4 dollars. :D

Although I must admit that they do smell interesting. Other flavored things have always smelled terrible to me, but these are rather subtle.

I will probably smoke one to see what they are like and then find some friends around here who are feeling daring.

I prefer to taste tobacco in my cigars. If I want vanilla, I will have some ice cream.

for only $4 I'd toss them and learn as ThankYouForNotSmoking said.

What's your work schedule... we should meet for a face to face this week...

Set up a Tupperdor, very low cost and low maintenance. Smoke one to see if you like it, if not, pitch them, if you do, keep them in there till there gone and consider it a lesson learned.

Good suggestion; that way, if you like them, you can still hold onto them and keep them properly stored. If that doesn't work, send 'em to Wilkey - word is that he likes these flavored wonders. :whistling:

Well I agree with at least trying them, who knows maybe it will be a once in a while change up cigar, or at the very least you can gift them to either your wife or girlfriend if they feel the urge to have a cigar.. lol.

Seriously if you plan to keep them, don't store them in your humidor, I would go with the tupper-dor suggestion. I have done this when I ran out of room in the humidor, and it works fine.

Well I smoked one just before I got off work today.

They were not all that bad. Not like the candy smelling things you see at the gas station. The flavor was very subtle, almost like a nice cup of tea along with your cigar. Not too stong, not too sweet. Not something I would want every day, but not a bad smoke.

I will tupperware these and keep them for the every now and then smoke.

Guess I did not waste 4 bucks afterall.
