OK, I have seen the Ancient Warrior on CI and CB and have even purchased a 5er. I have not tried it yet, but have read several reviews where the smoker raved about it. Think I am going to light one up this evening. Now, I was at my local tobacconist yesterday and he had a whole bunch of samples from his rep. Most of the samples were from Gurkha/K. Hansotia. Three of those samples were the ancient warrior...not the maroon band that I see on CI/CB and not the huge double corona size. The AWs were in three assorted sizes...robusto, torpedo, and double corona (smaller than the original). Am I just out of the loop? Am I missing something at CI? Or, is this just a new manifiestation of a line extension that has been successful for the company. Also, the bands were different, yellow with some designs...very nice.

Any info would be appreciated.

From what I've seen K. Hansotia/Gurkha seem to release a larger size before the smaller ones in the same blends. AW, Symphony, Signature and Gold all fall into that pattern. I haven't seen any of the smaller AW's yet but below is what I know about them.

The newer AW sizes are:

Emperor 6x60
AW Robusto 4.75x50
AW Torpedo 6x53

Cool. Thanks for the info AVB. I am just obviously not "in the know" on this one. Thanks again. I post a review tomorrow on the AW.
