Good morning all, the coffee has been on as off 0415 and it's a rainy, muggy morning out there. Well, I see that the Yankees finally won one last night and they have a day off today. They have a weekend series at home starting tomorrow evening against the Red Sox. This morning, USA is taking on Germany in World Cup soccer starting at 0900, should be another good one. As long as we end up in a tie, USA advances to the next round. I hope everyone has a good one and enjoys it as well........ :thumbs:

We had a good crowd last night at Schlesinger's, talked sports and the upcoming Quad State Herf. I see that the Yankees lost last night to the Red Sox 8 - 5, time to turn things around fellas and put a couple of "W"s on the board for a change. World Cup tomorrow for USA which a win is a must. Good Sunday morning all and as always, the Killer Beans are brewin'. It has a been a great 4th of July weekend so far and it'll continue with the NASCAR race being run this morning from Daytona at 1100 (11am) as a result of yesterday's rain storm. The Yanks lost yesterday 2 - 1 in the 11th, hopefully they win today and take the rubber game of the series. Enjoy everyone and smoke a favorite or two if you get the chance........ :thumbs:

Good to see the Yankees win last night also it was a great semi-final match in the World Cup with Argentina winning with the shoot out. Sunday will be the final match between Germany and Argentina which should be a good one. Today being Thursday, we'll be at Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson Valley Cigars enjoying primo stogies and seeing how all the local S/BOTL are doing. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Friday. We had a good evening at Schlesinger's, a number of the regulars showed up that we haven't seen in a while. Sorry to see the Yankees loose, at least they split the series with the Indians on the road. This weekend's series is with the Orioles in Baltimore, hope we do just as well or better and that'll take us into the All-Star break. Also this weekend, the NASCAR racers are in New Hampshire where hopefully mother nature will be more polite than last weekend in Daytona. Also a high five to Brad Keselowski for taking the checkered flag in yesterday's NASCAR race in New Hampshire. I see that the Yanks lost last night putting them 5 games behind first place going into the All-Star break. Maybe the time off will do them some good and help them bounce back to the Yankees we know. Have to be at work by 0600 as a few of us have to head off to Yale University in New Haven, CT in support of this year's Army vs. Yale football game in September. It's going to be a big thing as it's the 100 year anniversary since the fist time these two fine schools played each other. West Point will be well represented with Cadets and the Army Staff starting with the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Odierno and on down will be there. Well, congrats to the American League for winning last night's MLB All-Star game. At least the A.L. will have home field advantage during this year's World Series.
