Good info for the new Pipe Smoker

Ok, so I knew these post were in here, but my search fu is crappy. So after 15 min found them.

This is really good info for the new smoker, and IMHO should be pinned.

Ignore the parts about the apple and/or potato slices. It's a good way to introduce mold and besides most newbie problems arise from tobacco that is too wet not too dry. I like my tobacco almost crispy.

I typed up a more comprehensive guide that I posted on the wiki page Rod started, but it seems to be gone. I can make a new post, but it yields the Newbie Pack post redundant.
