hey ya'll

I play frisbee golf about twice a week, and usually i have a cigar while moving along. i have tried a few, and so far i am most content with the montesino grand napoleon. i 'em bought in a bundle, and they seem to provide a decent smoke that lasts almost longer than i take to play 18 holes.

so when ya'll are out there playing golf (or frisbee golf) what do ya'll smoke?

Now I'm not an expert in either activity (golf or cigars....working on the cigars though  ), but I would think something on the milder side depending on your tolerance.

Wouldn't want to smoke anything that would kick your butt, as you'd start to lose concentration and hitting that little white ball (or tossin' a frisbee) would become more challenging..... ;)

While out in the heat playing a few holes I always like to smoke the milder cigars. I don't know, there is something about hot weather and full bodied cigars don't mix well for me. Try a nice AVO #5 Tubos, I know they are not a bundle smoke, but for around $139 a box you wont regret it.

Well, not much golf being played out here, but back home I really enjoyed a nice HDM Excaliber Double Corona No. 1. Good size to last a while and take a bit of abuse from laying down on the green and such.

Never lay you cigar on the grass...... the amount of chemicals they spray would make your head spin....

Hope you make it out the big sand trap as soon as you want to! Happy 4th and thanks.

Agree, I always have medium bodied, large, and CHEAP cigars on the course. The wind smokes a lot of the cigar for you and the constant up and down is hard on the cigar. I usually smoke 4 per round since they which is about twice as many as if sedentary for the same amount of time.

Just adds a little flavor

Plus I just can't bring myself to buy one of those "cigar minders" that are for golfing, too much of a pompous look for me, lol.

I usually bring along one decent cigar for after the round with drinks or the drive home. While playing, though, I tend to smoke cheap cigars like the JR Ultimates. I have also been known to smoke whatever random cigars have found their way into my humi when out on the course.

What did I have this weekend while golfing:
Lusi, PSP2, 1964 Maddy(long one), Cuaba Salomon(sp)...yea...I played a lot of golf this weekend! :D

I usually smoke IT Classics, the tomahawk size, I believe. It's big enough to last at least 7 or 8 holes and tough enough to take the abuse. I also like them just fine. They're also cheap enough I don't care too much if I don't get to smoke it all the way through.

My FIL and I play 9 holes in about 1:35, so I don't need anything much bigger. (Yeah, we move a long pretty fast and play at a time of day during the week when it isn't too busy).

...old wives tale. with the amount of water they use, the chemicals have long soaked in by the time you get there.

Camacho corojo and Cuba Aliados -- two standby cigars that are just fine for disc golf.

Fuente 858's or Padron 6000's, but just like Smokelaw, I pretty much smoke whatever singles I have around in my humidor.

Whatever I want. I've never seen the need to smoke a low ender that I wouldn't normally smoke just because I'm playing golf. Besides, at least I can enjoy the cigar if my game is stinking up the course. I also agree with the above posts. Don't put them on the ground. There are a lot of cigar holders for short money out there that work great playing golf. Clip right to the bag. But in a pinch tossing your wallet on the ground and puttig the cigar on it works too.

I agree - you pay a fortune to play, so smoke what matches the cost
I use a T for my cigar.

I have started smoking the CAO Brazilia Cariocas because I am a Brazilia whore. :whistling:

Everytime I light a larger cigar on the course it somehow meets a tragic end!So the Cariocas are perfect for a small quick smoke.
