Starting off, I'd like to say, "I'm still getting my Humidor in check." The humidity has been low in Kansas City recently. I've been try to keep up with it.

Now, to the good stuff.

I'd like to say first off, this is a very mild cigar, but with a good, lingering, and sharp flavor. I've always been a CAO fan. I'd place CAO towards the top of my list of best smokes. I love the Mx2 from CAO. I thought it would be nice to smoke one the cigars that launched the company. This cigar has been around since 1996. I can certainly see how they have kept it around. If you like a more mild cigar, this is a great stick to keep in the humidor.

Initial Light
It took a second to light, but all of the CAO cigars I've smoked do. There isn't anything wrong with that. Just keep your torch full.
Taking well, it was a steady and even light.
The first draw was very heavy. Filled with a great assortment of spices.
The aroma surprised me after just tasting the mild spice. It was a soft woody fragrance that was rather nice.

1/3
The smoke is fairly thick and lingers with a velvet like texture on your pallet.
Delivering a deep spice and a dry taste. The after taste was a very deep hazelnut and almost a "Christmas like" spice.

2/3
The spice starts to subside. Keeping a very even burn, I was able to enjoy the mild hickory taste.
When exhaling and a slight roll of the smoke, you can distinguish some the the unique characteristics this cigar has to offer. I would say a hint of nutmeg, maybe a slight clove. Accented nicely with vanilla I had to take a third draw.

3/3
Still spicy, but a rich nutty taste was brought to the table. I'd describe it as a dark walnut. Even towards the end, the stick stayed lit and never burned to hot.

My thoughts on this cigar are rather high. I personally enjoy full bodied cigasr. This was a bit different but certainly accommodated my mood. The wrap was a little dry. But like my previous review on the RP Old World Reserve, it's probably my own doing. I recommend this cigar to anyone who enjoys a more mild cigar but still runs with the best of them with fullness of flavor. The flavor and aroma was very consistent throughout the whole smoke. I will smoke this again and will keep a few in the humidor for others to try.

I hope this was informative,
